Just One More And That Is It!!
I have to bribe Skyla to take her picture these days, all three of my kids go running the minute my camera appears. They suffer from camera burnout. I was "allowed" to take three pictures of Skyla today and this was one of them. Can you tell how impressed she is lol!

Alrighty New Year, New Start
I have decided to post whatever I feel like on my blog from now on, whether it be a picture or two, a few words whatever. I got blog brain and felt pressured into thinking of clever or insightful things (not that any of my posts were clever and insightful but you know). So I am going back to what I started my blog for, pictures, a photoblog in essence and whatever I feel like saying lol!!

We have had a few glorious days at the beach, so beautiful. Even swam with wild dolphins, well they were about 4 metres away from us but how many people can say that they encounter wild dolphins nearly everyday! We are blessed to have such a beautiful beach where we live.

Here is Owen, my reluctant surfer, taken yesterday.

Gotta say I am loving this camera of mine, such glorious colour and that is SOOC (straight out of the camera!).

Last Day Of School
For the year. Can you believe I don't have a Year One anymore, she is a Year Two now. Boo hoo. It only feels like yesterday that she started school and here she all grown up already (well not quite but you know it sure feels like that at the moment). She got an outstanding report card, really outstanding. I am so proud of her, so proud. She is such an achiever, just puts her heart and soul into all that she does, honestly she is a special person.

Also nearly done the Christmas shopping. Still a few little bits and pieces but mostly done. Phew! I was actually worried that I got nothing for S but reality is that S has done well it's the boys I have to worry about lol! I am going to have to think of a few extra little things to go under the tree and also an outfit each. Other then that just a few bits and pieces for my sister and her hubby and also something for my parents and In Laws.

Chrisco
We got our Chrisco Hampers today and boy was it like Christmas had come early for us. This is the first year I have done it and I have to say I am a Chrisco convert now, so watch out everyone I will be brainwashing you all lol!!

S got her platinum award today which is a big big honour at her school, and even more so that a grade one got it so she is a queen tonight. It also means that she got a badge that she can wear for the rest of her school career (which will be one worn badge by the time she has finished in another 11 years). This is the little blurb that came on the certificate.

" This certificate is one of the most significant documents that can be awarded to a student at xxxx xxxx xxxx College. It indicates a high level of achievement associated with a variety of involvements within the college and wider community. Very few students each year receive a certificate of commendation even fewer at the Gold Level (which by the way S got a few months ago). A student receiving a Gold Certificate of Commendation has consistently performed at an outstanding level, shown tremendous endeavour and commitment, and possesses a wide range of talents. A student reaching the PLATINUM level (which is the one S got) has performed at an outstanding level over the entire year, thus being of very high calibre."

So can we say I am one proud Mum today!!

Also we had S's christmas, end of year break up party today which was fun. The boys got to go and watch the games and eat a whole heap of crap so needless to say they were on a bit of high tonight.

This is A, a friend of C's who will be joining him in Kindy next year at the Christmas Party.

Chicken Kissers and Coco Pops
Colby my poor boy has the Chicken Pox, 13th case at his school. I was waiting for him to get it, he is covered but is handling it like a trooper. He is just upset that he can't go to school, poor thing. Owen hasn't got them yet but I am sure anyday now!

I have to tell you an Owen funny, honestly this three year old is just so funny. With his big brown eyes, Blonde curly hair he can get away with Murder. He makes me laugh everyday with something that comes out of his mouth. Anyway Owen went to school and told the teachers (both boys go to the same school) that "Colby kissed a chicken and got Coco Pops". (Coco pops is a cereal here in Oz!). Poor thing, a little confused by the whole thing. Also if you ask him if he is going to get the chicken pox Owen says "No, I haven't kissed any chickens" lol!!

The Fun Run
Hubby and Skyla ran in a fun run today. 5km's I am so proud of them. Skyla walked it but for a nearly 7 year old that is pretty good to make the distance. Hubby was disappointed with his effort (who knows why?) but he ran 20th out of nearly 500 which is not bad for an old boy lol (37 year old).

Nice picture of my Hubby (not) he hates me taking pictures and this was the "Come on get it over with face" lol!
Finding My Mojo
I think I lost it. Since the hubby has been home I have been enjoying a degree of normalcy, curling up on the couch watching TV with him, cooking dinner for my family, going to the beach and even shopping together has been nice. But my poor blog has suffered, I miss it. So I am going to find my groove again and start paying the poor thing attention.
